Cookery School
Rick Stein’s half-day cookery course is a unique opportunity for children aged 8-12 to immerse themselves in the culinary world under the guidance of professional chefs. From 9 am to 1 pm, participants will learn essential cooking techniques, including fish filleting, vegetable dicing, quesadilla making, stir-frying, grilling fish, and deep-frying sweet fritters. The course covers a variety of delicious dishes like quesadillas, grilled miso salmon with rice noodles and crunchy custard cream fritters. At the end of the day, each young chef will receive a certificate and a recipe folder to continue their culinary journey at home.

The conservation group will provide all the necessary tools, and you’ll be rewarded with refreshments after your hard work. Meet at the Marine Centre, located opposite the water refill station and behind the beach car park. Together, we can keep our beloved beaches pristine and pollution-free. Dogs welcome.
The Camel Trail
The Camel Trail is a beautiful 18.3-mile journey following the river from nearby Wenfordbridge, via Bodmin and Wadebridge, to the sea at Padstow. With no hills or traffic, the trail follows an old railway line, making it a perfect Easter Day out for families. Bikes can be hired at various points en-route, suitable for all the family (including trailers for dogs), and there are one-way options available.
