Tredarrup Farm Holiday Cottages
Hello and a warm welcome to Tredarrup Farm
A little bit about us
We’re Graham and Lorraine Lay and we’ve offering luxury farm holidays in this beautiful slice of Cornish countryside since we moved here in 2017.
We fell in love with Tredarrup the very first time we saw it, on a sunny autumn day in 2016. After a long drive to Cornwall, we drove through the old granite gateposts, bumped up the farm track and were rewarded with a picture perfect farmstead and the most amazing 180º view across the hidden Allen Valley.
Moving to Cornwall and running a tourism business was a complete change of lifestyle for us – and a steep learning curve! But we’d holidayed in self-catering cottages in the West Country for many happy years with our own children, and we had clear ideas as to what type of holiday experience we wanted our guests to have. Namely a luxury farm holiday that’s relaxing, peaceful, eco-friendly and most definitely special.
The farm barns had been beautifully converted into self-catering holiday cottages with no expense spared back in 2003. But then interiors were looking somewhat tired by the time we arrived, and the grounds were a largely empty and unused space. Since then we’ve worked hard revamping the interiors, bringing them up to 5 Star Gold level, and creating a wildlife-friendly smallholding and gardens for us and our visitors to enjoy.
We thought hard about all the holidays we’d taken – with and without children, in everything from a tent to cottages to swanky hotels. We then set about compiling a list of all the things we wished had been provided that would have made the perfect holiday. Things that combine the very best of those luxurious hotel breaks with the freedom and convenience of your own holiday home-from-home.
Which brings us to your holiday
We know holiday time is precious and much anticipated and we hope we provide everything you need for a relaxing break. Where you can finish work and just a few hours later, without too much packing and faffing, walk through the door of your cottage, feel your shoulders drop and feel instantly at home. But we’re always looking to improve, so if you think of anything we can do that would make your holiday even better then do please let us know – you’ll find a feedback form in your cottage and we genuinely welcome all suggestions.
We look forward to welcoming you to our hidden corner of Cornwall.

A Few of Our Favourite Things
When we’re not on the farm we love exploring the local area with our rescue dog, Lucky Mac.
The South West Coast Path is a favourite and, although we’re admittedly biased, the North Cornwall section is breathtakingly beautiful and the best! When we’re not on the coast we enjoy walking on Bodmin Moor and visiting some of the beautiful gardens of Cornwall. Our walks usually end up with a visit to a cosy cafe for a pasty or a cream tea and occasionally we even treat ourselves to a pub lunch!
So, if you’re looking for ideas and inspiration for your next luxury farm holiday then here are a few of our tried and tested things to do in Cornwall.
