Mill Barn

sleeps 6 · 3 bedrooms · 2 bathrooms

A super spacious barn conversion perfect for families and groups of friends

Converted from the farm's old grain store and rated 4 Star Gold, Mill Barn is the largest of our holiday cottages and quite often provokes a wow on entering. The upstairs open-plan living area is an impressively large space and is ideal for large family gatherings such as birthday celebrations if booked with any of our other holiday cottages. It has a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen and spacious dining area at one end and a sitting area with large leather sofas and an armchair around a cosy wood-burning stove at the other. There is a TV, DVD player and complimentary Netflix to catchup on those box-sets. Beyond this is a second living room/play room with sofas, a desk, TV and DVD player and a cupboard with games and books - perfect for children, teenagers, extended family and friends. There are fabulous views from the living areas across Cornwall towards Padstow. Downstairs, off the granite-cobbled corridor, there are three bedrooms all with luxuriously smooth and comfortable 100% Egyptian cotton bedlinen and blackout blinds for a great night's sleep. The inviting master bedroom, with super-king-sized double bed, features the original granite floor and grain sill and has a large adjacent shower-room. There are 2 spacious twin rooms at the other end of the property, one of which can be converted to a comfortable super-king-size double on request, making Mill Barn a flexible choice for families, grandparents and groups of friends. The large family bathroom, with stone walls and original slate floor, has a free-standing roll-top bath for a long soak after a day of activities or for splashy bubble baths with the children. Outside is a covered seating area with granite-cobbled floor - the perfect place for a barbecue whilst watching the sun set over the valley. A second terrace features benches around a fire pit - perfect for enjoying a drink and toasting marshmallows. The large shared grassed area with breathtaking views across Cornwall is the perfect place for relaxing whilst the children enjoy kicking a ball around or playing a game of badminton. A complimentary Sunday newspaper and a welcome pack is provided containing freshly baked and locally sourced provisions. An accessibility guide can be viewed here. Prices from £575 - £1495 per week with short breaks starting from £431.

What a beautiful place. We were really taken aback by how lovely the barn was and the view is incredible. Sunset on our second night was a real highlight. Very comfy beds, clean and cosy rooms, lovely freestanding bath ... We didn’t want to leave. The perfect base for exploring the nearby beaches.
