Dog-friendly cottages

dog-friendly holidays

Your four-legged friend will be sure to enjoy a holiday in one of our dog-friendly cottages, Stable Cottage and Shippon. North Cornwall has numerous beautiful sandy beaches and the vast majority are dog-friendly all the year round. Daymer Bay, Rock, Trebarwith Strand, Bossiney, Port Isaac, Port Gaverne, Bude and six out of the 'Seven bays for Seven days' around Padstow to name but a few - and if you're visiting us from October to Easter you can also enjoy the often deserted beaches at Polzeath, Sr. George's Cove and Crackington Haven.

Almost everyone owns a dog in North Cornwall and you'll find they're welcome in many tourist attractions, pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries so you can enjoy all that this lovely area has to offer. Visit the National Lobster Hatchery, ride on a steam train at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, explore the wonderful estate at Lanhydrock, wander round the shops and harbour at Padstow, catch the ferry to Rock, visit the stunning Tintagel Castle, scale the granite peaks of Bodmin Moor and of course enjoy the miles and miles of simply stunning South West Coast Path. And after all that activity return to your welcoming and stylish barn conversion, where you can enjoy playing ball in the large fenced paddock with magnificent views across Cornwall or just relax and put your feet up in front of the fire.

Assistance dogs are very welcome in all four cottages.

Stable Cottage

This spacious cottage sleeps 4 in 2 large bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. There is a large open-plan living area with original granite floor and a lovely large, cosy rug where your dog can stretch out in front of the woodburning stove. Enjoy a barbecue in your  private garden with beautiful views over the valley whilst your dog potters around, enjoying the mixture of woodland and grass, whilst the paddock is the perfect spot for a quick walk first thing and before bed.

Shippon is a beautifully converted barn sleeping 2, with a spacious living area with oak floor. The cosy woodburning stove has a large, comfortable rug in front of it - perfect for dogs to snooze by the fire after a long day's exploring. The sunny private terrace is the ideal spot for a sunny breakfast or relaxing barbecue before taking a final walk around the paddock to take in the views before retiring to your cosy cottage for the night.
