Activity Holidays

Time to top up your vitamin sea...

Activity holidays in Cornwall are ideal for those that love getting out and about on holiday, exploring new horizons and getting a healthy dose of fresh air and exercise.

With mile upon mile of jaw-droppingly beautiful coastline and great swathes of wide open countryside to explore, there’s plenty of opportunity to get active in Cornwall.

For walkers, the South West Coast Path is never far away and, whether you’re looking to walk it in its entirety or enjoy a more modest amble from pretty fishing village to chocolate box harbour, there’s no doubting it’s one of the most stunning walking trails in the UK.

Cyclists can enjoy the 18 mile long traffic-free Camel Trail, that runs from Wenfordbridge on Bodmin Moor to the sea at Padstow, plus there are some excellent mountain biking trails locally.

If getting wet is more your style then the rolling waves of the Atlantic Coast beckon. Surfing, SUP, kayaking and windsurfing are all available on the nearby coast. Or why not try an unforgettable coasteering session, jumping off cliffs and exploring caves with just seals for company.

One of the best things about activity holidays is that after all that exercise you’ll most definitely deserve a treat. So take time to relax and refuel in a cosy Cornish pub or cafe – think luscious cream teas, warming hot chocolates and hearty Cornish pasties.

And, when your legs are weary, your skin is glowing and your lips are tangy with the taste of salt, it’s time to return to the peace and tranquility of your holiday cottage for a hot bath or shower and some rest and relaxation, Tredarrup style. Light the fire, sink into the super squishy sofa, pour yourself a well-earned glass of award winning Cornish wine and plan your next day’s adventure.
